I'm having a bunch of vegetarians over for a big night of homemade pizza this coming weekend. As a result, my wife and I are looking to diversify our normal array of vegetarian pizzas. One idea we have is to finally make a New Haven plain pie. I know it's basically just sauce, garlic, oregano, and grated parmesan. However, I'm unsure as to how the sauce varies from a standard NY sauce and as to how the garlic and oil are incorporated. I've tried various permutations of searches on Google and just haven't been able to find anything useful. Can anyone on here provide some help?
