So, I recently tried a typical Chinese dish called Beef Chow Fun or Beef Chow mein. There is a difference between the two noodles for those that don't know. Chow fun is the wide rice noodles and chow mein is the thin egg noodles.
I tried the chow fun version the other night and it was "ok". To be honest, the noodles I bought from my local grocery store ran out of the chow fun noodles I normally get. So in the picture, once you click on the link, you will see that the noodles are not really "chow fun". The picture shows a different type of noodle that I alternatively bought and it had "chow fun" as the label. I suppose next time I will try the chow mein version just as comparison. The type of noodles used for this dish does make a difference so I suppose wait for an updated post folks :)
Has anyone tried both styles before? Opinions? Suggestions?
