So I've been eating pizza in New York for a long time. Every once in a while, I will order a Sausage Roll or a Chicken Roll, which is a nice personal pocket of cheese and sausage and pepper or chicken cutlets wrapped in pizza dough, with sauce served on the side for dipping. They are very tasty.
In my mind, a calzone is similar, but larger and with the sauce on the inside.
I have never ordered a(?) stromboli.
I"m just wondering if there is any clear definition of these "rolls" (outside of the frozen pizza roll abominations people can buy in super markets) and their relationship/differences with calzones.
