About This Recipe

500gm jumbo shrimp/ Prawns(cleaned and deveined)
1 cup coconut milk(coconut cream)
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 inch ginger minced
1 clove garlic minced
2 pods cardamom
1 bay leaf
2 tsp vinegar / rice vinegar
2 sprigs Curry leaves
2 green chillies finely chopped
1/2 onion finely chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp grated coconut or coconut powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
Method of Preparation.
Marinate the Shrimp with salt and little chilly powder.
Saute shrimp in some oil for 5 mins and kept aside.
Saute the onion,green chillies,cumin seeds,ginger,garlic,bay leaf, turmeric powder,vinegar and cardamom pods for 3 mins.
Add the coconut milk and water and let it simmer for 10 mins.
Add the fried shrimp to the above and let it simmer for 4 mins.
Garnish with roasted curry leafs and serve.
