Fixing a cake cooked at wrong temperature

I am making a pound cake that needs to cook 100 minutes. 50 minutes into it, I realized it should have cooked at 300, not 350.
Can I lower the temperature to 250 for the remaining 50 minutes, and will the cooking even/average out?
Or is it too late?
