Welcome to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we turn the pages of the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
While many refer to Thanksgiving as "Turkey Day," on November 22, not everyone partakes in that particular dish. We're celebrating the vegetarian dishes of Thanksgiving here on Weekend Cook and Tell. Your tastebuds will celebrate just as much with saffron ravioli, artichoke soup, curried squash and apple stew, and more.
The Associated Press recently published an article on how vegetarian Thanksgivings can be just as satisfying and comforting as one with turkey. While many of us our turkey-lovers, we certainly can't argue with all of the delicious veggie-ful meals out there. We know we have a lot of veggie-lovers out there (we're among those) and we can't wait to see what delicious recipes you share.
Share your vegetarian-friendly Thanksgiving eats on Photograzing (make sure to include "Weekend Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. You can now also pin your creation on your Pinterest board as well. Please use the hashtag, #cookandtell, and tag us, @Serious Eats in your pin's text.
We'll post a round-up of your ideas, recipes, and experiences the following Wednesday, November 21st.
