We live in the b-e-a-utiful Texas hill country (U.S.A.) and I need to know if the pumpkins we use for carving Halloween jack-o-lanterns are okay to use for a recipe I found on this site for Yummy PUMPKIN BUTTER???(It's okay if we have to add extra sugar.)(We bought 3med-large pumpkins and ended up never carving them.) I know we can also roast the pumpkin seeds- but- now that Halloween is passed- I'd like to utilize the pumpkins (seeds- meat- & all) rather than let it just go to waste. We need INFORMATION & ADVICE:)
