Do Chua - how to buy it?

There's a Vietnamese market near me, and it sells Do Chua - the delicious condiment of pickled, shredded daikon and carrot. I love this stuff and I want to buy some. My issue is that I'm a pathetic moron who doesn't know how to actually go about obtaining it.

From what I can see it's sold loose - there's a huge, plastic basin full of the stuff, in the produce section with all the fruits and vegetables. But how are you actually supposed to pack it? Do you just put it in plastic bags like you would an apple or some broccoli? Or are you supposed to bring your own tupperware or something?

I'm far too ashamed to ask the staff in case they boot me out for being a colossal idiot so I turn to you, the internet, to show me the light.
