Welcome to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we turn the pages of the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
We're going to do something a little different this week and it has to do with Puff Daddy. And Puff the Magic Pastry (who lived in my kitchen. And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Serious Eats). Okay, I'm done. Really. But in all seriousness, isn't puff pastry amazing? It's the perfect foundation of many a delicious dish.
You've probably noticed by now that we're holding a contest, sponsored by Pepperidge Farm. Whether using puff pastry is old hat to you or you're ready to venture out into new territory, this is your perfect opportunity to share your baking feats! We invite you to prepare something fantastically gorgeous and delicious. In addition to the awesome
salivating sharing that we do every week, you will also gain a bonus entry to the contest if you have already submitted an entry to Photograzing. If you'd like to use this as an extra entry, please let us know in the comments below.
Share your pleasing puff pastry on Photograzing (make sure to include "Weekend Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. You can now also pin your creation on your Pinterest board as well. Please use the hashtag, #cookandtell, and tag us, @Serious Eats in your pin's text.
We'll post a round-up of your puff pastry ideas, recipes, and experiences the following Wednesday, October 10th.
