Weekend Cook and Tell: Remembering Julia
Welcome to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we turn the pages of the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
You may or may not have heard, but today would have been Julia Child's 100th birthday. Julia contained such a zeal for cooking that it was hard to not want to watch her. Her blunders and witty banter, created a new type of entertainment, which also happened to be delicious. Julia Moskin, of The New York Times, sought out your favorite Julia Child recipes. Not the fancified or maybe attempt once in a lifetime, but the recipes that you have found a part of your cooking repertoire.
So, here's our tribute to Julia (and yours). Thank you Julia, for blazing the path for so many, and for having so much fun while doing so. Show Julia your thanks by creating some dishes that make you positively beatific. (adding more butter is always a good idea.)
