Thanks to my sweet niece who stayed with us a week and a half ago, my entire little family is now a bunch of sickies. I have the worst of it with bronchitis, but Baby Zog and husband are trying to catch up with me.
In an effort to make something that would taste good, offer comfort, and possibly a little homeopathic goodness, I decided to make chicken noodle soup. I wasn't going to go to the store today, so I was going to have to make do with chicken breasts. Anyway, I pulled a frozen lump out of the freezer, plopped it in a pot with water, garlic, salt, pepper, onion, and cayenne, and let it do its thing.
Um, yeah. Pulled the "chicken" out just now to shred - and they are actually pork chops. Whoops.
Do you guys think this will still turn out? LOL. It's not exactly what I meant to do but frankly I'm sick enough I just don't care. I can either try again with chicken and not cook as long or try with the pork. If I don't use the boiled pork for this, any other suggestions?
Also, what are your favorite dishes to eat when you have a nasty cold? I already made buffalo chicken spring rolls. Frankly, I don't care to eat and my taste buds seem off - but I need to eat if I want to get better at some point.
