Weekend Cook and Tell: Peachy Keen Perfection

Welcome to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we turn the pages of the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.

Last week, we received a box of "insanely juicy and fragrant peaches" from Frog Hollow Farm. And since then, we haven't been able to shake them from our minds.

Carolina Braunschweig of the San Francisco Chronicle seems to think that everything that can be said about peaches, has been. But a few years ago, she finally experienced a perfect peach. Maybe it was the ambiance, the unique selection, or perhaps it was the ripeness, but her tune changed. My personal favorite tip of Braunschweig's, is to select a peach with "generous cleavage." Useful and it provides a childish giggle.
