Lemon juice alternatives in a sour cocktail
I've just recently started drinking and have been looking into the sour family. From what I've gathered a sour is a holy ratio of a base spirit, a "sweet" (liqueur or syrup) and a sour (lemon juice); so naturally I want to screw around with it. What would you guys think about playing with other sour flavors like Seville oranges, Green apple juice, Cranberry juice etc.? Have any of you had a cocktail like that? how did it turn out? the closest I can find is the cosmopolitan's use of cranberry juice.
