Crunchy chocolate chip cookies?
My mom's birthday is coming up and I was thinking of making her some cookies. She's a fan of chocolate chip cookies, unadulterated by add-ins like peanut butter (hates it!) or other flavors. The issue I have is that she likes her cookies crunchy. As in, if the hot- spot in the oven overbakes (or, horrors, burns!) a few, she'll eat those. I could just burn a batch for her, but I thought it might be nice to give her a nice crunchy cookie without the burnt bits for her birthday ;). A lot of the recipes I see are for super thin cookies, but I was hoping for more of a mid- thickness with lots of crunch. Any ideas or recipes? I just dont have time to play with lots of recipes to get it right... Thanks!
