Steak Frites! -- Downtown or Brooklyn
Going out for bday dinner this week. Have been going to a lot of Brooklynish restaurants of late and, much as I appreciate farm-to-table food, am feeling a little fatigued by heirloom farro and assembled carrot plates.
What I'd really love is a wonderful steak frites. And reasonably warm/competent service. Oysters would be nice too, but not a requirement. I may just end up back at the bar of Balthazar again, which would not be the end of the world, but would love to hear any other suggestions!
