How can I find a food related tenant for vacancy in my building?
I'm a resident on the Lower East Side in a co-op called Seward Park. A bunch of residents (NOT BROKERS) want to help attract a restaurant or food-related business to our commercial property. We have no financial benefit to gain here, just the satisfaction of attracting innovative businesses to our community and our neighborhood.
Can anyone suggest some good networking opportunities within the NY food/restaurant world to help spread the word of our unique space?
For reference the vacancy is about 1,900 square feet on ground level, and 1,850 in basement. This is a single story structure with private sidewalk seating (not city land), rear loading dock/logistics, and high ceilings on both levels. This is truly more like operating in a suburban type building rather than an 1850's style tenement.
