Welcome to our Weekend Cook and Tell where each Wednesday we leaf through the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
Mother's Day is fast approaching and with it many, many mom-centric meals. Whether you've decided to brave the crowds at your favorite brunch buffet or are pulling out the stops with a homemade eggs benedict extravaganza, this week's challenge is all about what's cooking for Mother's Day.
If you're short on Mother's Day inspiration, here are a few ideas: over at The Oregonian they're baking up quick croissants made with puff pastry, the Chicago Sun Times is offering up breakfast in bed perfect Bean and Veggie Tostadas, and the Houston Chronicle has a slideshow full of cakes that will be sure to make at least a few moms out there cry tears of sweet joy.
Show us photos of your mom pleasing masterpieces on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your Mother's Day ideas, recipes, and experiences next Wednesday.
