The fight against Oxtails?!

Why is Oxtails considered objectionable by diners? Yet it is a succulent, braised beef on the bone, simmered in brown gravy like any southern dish. I think this dish deserves a new name (though that is what it is) to avoid dish hesitation. How have you had Oxtails?
