Last night my husband started a meal in our slow-cooker at about 8 pm. He added raw chicken at 8:30. At 9:30 pm, a transformer blew in our neighborhood and we lost power until 11 pm. The slow-cooker was pretty hot when the power went out, but of course it was off for and hour and a half. The meal is still cooking away now while we're at work, but we're not sure if we should risk eating it tonight. What would you do, Serious Eaters?
