Gin for making infusions

I had some wonderful pear-infused gin a few days ago and decided I wanted to try making my own. I love gin but the ones I like tend to be pricey for infusing- Boodles, Bombay, Bluecoat (apparently I like the Bs). What's a good, inexpensive gin?
