Lipton Tea Bags tasting sweet to anyone?

Hello everyone. My dad has been drinking Lipton black tea bags for years and he has always enjoyed the flavor. He is really sensitive to sweetness in everything from salad dressings to sauces. Lately, he has said that he has noticed a slight sweet flavor in the original Lipton black tea bags. He doesn't put anything in his tea (i.e. no milk, no honey, no sugar). I haven't found anything online about whether anyone else has noticed this as well or whether there are any changes to the tea bags so I figured that I would put the question to the Serious Eats readers.

Has anyone else noticed Lipton original black tea bags tasting slightly sweet as of late?
