Longtime lurker first time commenter. You all are amazing so I know you'd help me out of this pickle!
I am having 15 people over for diner on a Friday night (yes, a workday) and want to knock their socks off with the menu! I can do prep throughout the week before, but will only have about 3 hours the night of to prepare.
Here is what will definitely be on the menu:
-Big spinach salad with homemade candied pecans and goat cheese
- lots of wine!
I don't want to do pasta because i think it's a bit of a cop out for a dinner party on this scale. Any ideas? Originally i was thinking of braising short ribs and doing a potato gratin, but was told short ribs for 15 in nyc might be an expensive venture.
