Welcome back once again to our Weekend Cook and Tell where every Wednesday we peruse the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
Whether you're still making your list and checking it twice, scrambling for stocking stuffers or smugly gazing at your pile of lovingly wrapped gifts, this the time of year when all we can think about is presents—both giving and receiving.
If you're still in the throes of gift decision-making, The New York Times' dining section has assembled a gift guide that will have you all sorted out in no time. And if you're looking for something a bit closer to home, our own gift guides here on Serious Eats really do have something for every cook on your list. For this week's challenge we want to hear about your present plans. We're looking for the cookbooks, gadgets, and foodstuffs that you're planning on giving to your nearest and dearest cook friends, not to mention the food-centric gifts that are on your own personal wish list.
Show us photos of your gift ideas and wish lists on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your Santa-inspired sack-o-goodies ideas and experiences next Wednesday.
