Paring knife / Williams-Sonoma

So my fantastic parents got me a $150 gift card to Williams-Sonoma for Christmas this year (I had hinted I would like a paring knife).
Does anyone have recommendations for favorite paring knives, or qualities you like/dislike? I am considering one of the "cheaper" Shun knives (never used them before but hear great things), but am open to suggestions!
While I could use the entire amount on a knife, I like the idea of spending around half on the knife and the rest on one or two other things I've been eyeing (magnetic knife strip? Silpat sheet? OXO v-blade mandoline?)
Any and all tips would be great!
