NYE Dessert duty - any suggestions?

I am going to a small NYE party in NYC and am tasked with bringing desserts. Challenge- one guest is a lactart (lactose intolerant) and no one likes pie. Any suggestions for fun/unique/tasty options? Last year I brought cookies from Momofuku Milk Bar and they were a hit.
