What to do with a giant block (1kg?) of proscuitto crudo
I don't have a commercial grade slicer. This is a big ol chunk of pork, and I'm not normally one to complain about big chunks of pork, but this is sort of unwieldy. I tried slicing off a piece but my slices are too thick and it tasted... raw meat-y. With a somewhat soft and slimy texture. Do I make soup with it? pan fry slices? What the heck can I do with this thing short of taking it to the grocery store and asking them to cut it? Would they even do that? Help!
