I want to learn the art of baking and I would love recommendations on a book that helped you. I have briefly looked into the Cake Boss's newest book because it says it will teach me to bake like he learned, by mastering baked goods in order of difficulty (cookies, then pastry, then cakes with fondant, etc). I am not really interested in cake decorating, I just want a book that will help me get good at cookies, pies, cakes, and breads. Any suggestions?
