Enough with the writing about the superstar chefs already
I found last year that with El Bulli closing, that after awhile, I kind of got tired of all of the adulation over Ferran Adria. Yes, it's interesting, but it also makes me sad that I just didn't have the time and wherewithal to get myself to Barcelona, drive the however many hours it takes to get there to worship at the altar of Ferran Adria.
Similarly, all this love over Rene Redzepi over Noma. Yes, I'm sure that he deserves the praise he receives and works hard at his craft. But do we really need all of this media print over how great these restaurants are, while at the same time, knowing that it is extremely difficult to get to, and even if you just so happened to be in the neighborhood, it would be almost impossible to get a reservation there?
