Providence recommendations!
I tried asking last year for some recommendations in the Bay Area and got some fantastic reponses. Is there anybody on this board who knows interesting restaurants to try in Providence (RI)?
I'll stick with the description I used last time as a benchmark, as I probably can't say it any better another way: "I'm looking for are local gems -- the kind of stuff that you can't just find in any US city. For example, as a native New Yorker, I'd recommend places like Momofuku (all of them), The Commodore, Motorino, Fette Sau, Torrisi, etc. to any out-of-towner looking for a delicious meal that's pretty tough to replicate anywhere else."
I've heard Al Forno and New Rivers come up a bunch of times, but not too many others, so I'd be eager to hear about any/everything from snacks to casual to fine dining.
