Is this really a sucky cooking season?

Alas (did I just use that word?) summer's over and with it berries and corn and great tomatoes and all that. Cooking-wise I love root veg and heavier, darker meats etc. so I'm a fan of fall cooking. Still, it's hard to argue that the best cooking months are behind us...until next year.

Unless by then global warming and overfishing and pesticides and industrial farming and corporate giants wipe out the market.

Glass half full.
