You know the Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture by Tchaikovsky? Those violins swoon so romantically. I hear them in my head every time I look at a can of pureed pumpkin. During the past 2 months, I have attempted pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bisque, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake and 2 kinds of pumpkin pancakes. But none of them achieved the perfect pumpkin presence I pined for. I am at my wit's end and the violins are starting to go out of tune. Please help me, Serious Eaters!
