Drying fresh herbs...?

We have a TON of fresh rosemary, thyme, basil, parsley, mint, and oregano growing in our garden. In the past we have used the herbs as we needed them then just allowed them to whither away until next year. We have always been told to dry them or freeze them so we can use throughout the winter. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do so or maybe a graet easy to follow website with an explanation?
