Hi All,

I am an avid reader and live with a bunch of musicians, so I am looking for a good quiet place to read in the city, preferably in these areas: below Central Park & above Canal, off the L or J line in Brooklyn, or in the Long Island City area of Queens.

Some other criteria I'm looking/hoping for: quiet, open late, not insanely crowded, cheap (no table service, a coffee shop with delicious coffee being ideal).

Options varying or not meeting all of the above are of course welcome!
