Welcome to another summery installment of the Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we peruse the food sections of various national newspapers in search of inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
This week we decided to revisit one of last summer's brightest Cook and Tells, Kernels of Deliciousness, an ode to all things corn related. The folks over the Chicago Sun-Times are making the most of late season corn and we figured that we should be doing the same.
This week we want to see what you've been doing with all of those glorious ears of yellow and white corn all summer long. Have you been slathering it with may, cheese, and chile Mexican-style? Or perhaps making the freshest creamed corn? Are you an ice cream whiz who has been churning batches of sweet corn gelato? If your summer cooking projects have involved husks, kernels, and cobs we want to hear all about it.
Show us photos of your corn masterpieces on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title) and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your corn-centric recipes, ideas, and experiences next Wednesday.
