I bought some sour cream and some cottage cheese yesterday, and they didn't get into the fridge. Is it safe to eat either?
Everything online says no, but they also say not to eat cream cheese that's been out a few hours, and I routinely do, and not to eat cheese that's been at room temperature a few hours, and I wouldn't hesitate to.
Has any of you actually done this experiment so I don't have to? I'm guessing I'll probably throw it out since I've got company coming in a couple of days and I can't afford to be sick, but what say you?
