I volunteered at a food bank yesterday, and as a thank you, the food bank gave me several bags weighing at the very least four pounds each of salad making material (think iceberg lettuce, four heads of romaine, mixed salad greens, and spinach) as well as six pounds of plums.
I'm at a lost as to what to do with any of this. I know the easy answer is it make lots of salad, but how long do salad greens say fresh? And, what do you do with plums other than eating them raw?
