healthy cookies

I tried a recipe for oatmeal and raisin cookies and they are falling apart. The recipe has brown rice syrup, oatmeal, 2 eggs, raisins and called for whole wheat pastry flour, but I used whole wheat flour instead. I also used pecans that were the consistency of coarse flour instaed of coarsely chopped pecans. Why are they falling apart, HELP!
