Food you were denied as a kid and crave now
The post about the little cereal boxes (http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/08/mini-box-cereal-variety-packs-a-blessing-or-a-curse.html) made me wonder what foods you were denied as a kid and consequently crave now.
I remember as a college freshman having a dorm mate who had been denied ketchup, and her first week of college she bought a case of it and put it on everything
I don't remember being denied much of any food as a child (that's a different problem), but most junk food we had in moderation. I don't remember particularly craving sugar cereals because I always put sugar and a banana on my cereal.
The closest for me is orange soda, which we only had at picnics. Still love it, but don't crave it.
