Cooking for the Toothless
A while back I had all my teeth extracted, and, not only haven't I starved to death yet, I'm really eating quite well.
Here's my first recipe, which I call Garlic Toast Crouton Soup:
Buy one hard roll (something that would fight back if you had teeth (this is necessary for body)).
About This Recipe
| Yield: | 1-2 |
| Active time: | 30 minutes |
| Total time: | 5 minutes |
| Special equipment: | Baking sheet, bowl, mug |
Ingredients
1 hard roll
i Tbsp butter (at room temperature)
I Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan/Romano cheese
1 14.5 oz can beef broth
Procedures
Place baking sheet in oven and preheat both to 425 degrees F.
Slice hard roll, then liberally smear with butter, then garlic powder, then cheese.
Place in oven for about 5 minutes, until garlic toast is done. Dice garlic toast into bite-sized croutons in bowl. Heat beef broth in mug about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes in microwave set on high, then pour hot broth on croutons.
