Cooking for the Toothless, Part 2
One of the things I miss most about having teeth is eating those open-faced roast beef and roast turkey sandwiches that constitute one of the classic offerings at truck stops across the US. So, here's an item that I call "Open-Meat Sandwich Sans Meat".

Ingredients
3 slices fresh Italian bread or toasted ordinary white bread
1/2 tbsp room-temperature butter
1/2 can beef, turkey, or chicken gravy
Procedures
If you're using Italian bread, cut off the crust.
Spread the butter liberally over the bread, then cut the buttered bread slices into bite-sized squares, and place in bowl.
Put gravy in mug, and heat in microwave until hot.
Pour gravy over bread pieces, and serve.
