I've been known to be a victim of the check out line products. They are like a siren song as I stand in line always behind someone paying with a check who also has expired coupons for the two items they are buying. Sometimes as I wait I give in to their call with their fancy packaging and legal mumbo jumbo. It can result in one feeling like a sucker or the discovery of some new impulse food item with negligible nutritional value.

Today I was entranced by winner though, Tapatio flavored Doritos. At 99 cents it was worth a try; Doritos can be pretty gross though especially when they venture into the spicy category. However the Tapatio flavor is addicting. It starts out with a tomatoey flavor and finishes spicy, but not too much. I'm more of a Cholula fan when it comes to mass marketed Mexican hot sauce so I can't say if they are all that reminiscent of Tapatio hot sauce, but regardless if you open the bag good luck stopping.
