Side dish to an Easter dinner for a beginner cook?

Since I've recently moved away from home, this will be the first Easter I won't be spending with my family where my grandmother always cooks a very traditional Easter dinner for all.

I've been invited to a good friend's family Easter dinner for the holiday. I want to bring an good side dish to the dinner, but I am a relatively newbie cook. It's not a brunch, but rather a mid-afternoon meal. There will be few children, mostly adults in attendance, around 20 people. Any suggestions?
