We're starting to learn that my boyfriend is allergic to onion. This is tragic because almost every recipe we use/want to eat has onion in it! I know there's onion power but it leaves a sort of metallic taste in my mouth >. I was wondering if Serious Eaters had any way around this, a vegetable that tastes like onion or some way to reduce his allergic response? I'm willing to experiment!
