Welcome to Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we page through the food sections of various national newspapers in search of an inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.
This week seems like a roast chicken kind of week. While searching for a Cook and Tell topic I came across Thomas Keller's Roast Chicken recipe on the front page of The New Orleans Times-Picayune, The Columbus Dispatch offered up a reuben recipe that roasts chicken under a bed of sauerkraut, and we've been roasting chickens all week with recipes from A Bird in the Oven and Then Some oven on Cook the Book. With all of this chicken talk having a bird-themed Weekend Cook and Tell just seemed natural.
This week we want to hear all about your best roast chicken recipes. Brined, trussed, stuffed, or roasted over a bed of root veggies, we want to see your most impressive roast chicken recipe.
Show us photos of your most beautifully roasted bird on Photograzing (make sure to include "Cook and Tell" in your submission title), and tell us about your recipes here! If you'd like to blog the experience, please leave a link in the comments below. We'll post a round-up of your best roast chicken recipes, ideas, and experiences next Wednesday.
