Weekend Cook and Tell: Chain Restaurant Brainstorm

Welcome to Weekend Cook and Tell. Every Wednesday we leisurely peruse the food sections of various national newspapers and peruse them in search of an inspiration for a weekend cooking project. We hope you'll cook along with us and share your experiences, recipes, and photos here.

Since America's Next Great Restaurant premiered on NBC two weeks ago we've been hooked. We love the idea of coming up with a marketable new concept for a new chain restaurant, and the fact that Bobby Flay, Curtis Stone, and Steve Ells of Chipotle are acting as not only judges but backers makes it even more exciting. Meltworks and Saucy Balls are looking like strong contenders but we're curious to see how The Tiffin Box and Compleat are going to fare.

This week we thought it would be fun to ask all of you for your most ingenious chain restaurant ideas. But since this is the Weekend Cook and Tell we don't just want ideas, we want recipes and photos of what would potentially be served in your chain.

Do you think that you make a burger that could go national? A soup that would blow Souplantation out of the water? Have a pie recipe that's worthy of franchise? For this week's challenge we want to hear all about what sort of chain restaurant you would open and more importantly what you would serve.
