A few times lately I've gone looking for past Serious Eats content via Google (with the site:seriouseats.com parameter) and come up short.

Subjects I'm sure have been discussed just don't show up any more. The most recent example was discussion of Taubes' book; I'm sure there's been some, and yet Google shows only one link later than 2007, and that's in 2009.

Maybe SE has stopped permanently retaining older posts, or banned the Googlebot, or maybe this has something to do with the reworking of the Comment system here?
