"I'm Picky"
So, I was just at the local supermarket (a large chain one - not that that really matters) and I had brought my own bag for my groceries. The cashier was packing it, although I normally do it (she started before I could get to it) and it appeared that she was having trouble getting everything into it. I am really not picky about how things are packed when nothing in it is breakable, like eggs, so I started to try to help her pack it, by rearranging some of the things inside it, when she snapped at me "That's alright. I can do that. I am really picky."
I don't think that I have ever encountered that before. Normally it is the other way around, but I wasn't even sure how to react to that...I mean, do I say "hey, I am the customer, blah blah blah.."? Or...I mean, how would you react? Have this ever happened to any of you? All that I had were some boxes of cereal and some pudding mix. What is the appropriate reaction when a cashier in a grocery store does that? Or am I the only one with that problem?
