I had an amazing lunch today - the restaurant RUSTIC located at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Norther California - prior to lunch out server brought out in a small paper bag 3 zeppoles (sp?) they were warm little nuggets of fried dough but not sweet. i have tried to research and the only thing I have found is the dessert dough.
First has anyone else been to Coppolas and Second has anyone had a zeppole that was not a sweet doughnut. L.A.
