Sugar Cookies have a crazed appearance
When I make sugar cookies (typical recipe, uses powdered sugar and shortening), they come out looking "crazed" or "crackled" like some of those painting techniques.
I have tried making sure I don't work the dough too much. I have tried keeping the dough cold.
What do you suppose could be causing this?
