Storing Meyer Lemons

I just bought a bag of lovely Meyer lemons. I'm planning on making good use of them, grating and peeling then freezing the rinds as well as using the juice.

I thought I saw something somewhere about being able to freeze Meyer lemons whole in the freezer, but I'm thinking about that now and ... that can't be right. Can anyone confirm that idea? Is it possible to successfully freeze whole Meyer lemons?

I'd also be interested in hearing any other storage advice for them. Should I keep them inside or outside of the fridge, and for how long?
